Everyone who terrifies you is sixty-five percent water.

And everyone you love is made of stardust, and I know

you cannot even breathe deeply, and

the night sky is no home, and

you have cried yourself to sleep enough times

that you are down to your last two percent, but

nothing is infinite,

not even loss.

You are made of the sea and the stars, and one day

you are going to find yourself again.

I'm still at my sister's house. We are wading through the emotional nightmare of coming public with the truth of our father sexually abusing us. To everyone who has sent us their support, their words of encouragement, and shared their own stories of abuse, thank you. We knew we weren't alone, but we find ourselves overwhelmed with all of the other people hurting out there too.

I can't thank you all enough for the work you have done, emailing, Facebooking, and Tweeting people to try to make some noise. You are all amazing. We are currently waiting to hear back from Katie TePas, the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Initiatives Coordinator for the State of Alaska. Her team is looking at the timeline of the sexual abuse done to us and seeing if we can move forward with prosecution based on Alaska's past statute of limitations laws.

Please keep sharing this post. I want people to know they don't have to be silent.

Thank goodness Daniel won't be back to read comments. I'm sure he has his hand full, the troll.
