Go West | That is What We'll Do

I highly recommend you listen to this song on repeat as you scroll through :)

------------------------------------

Go West

Come on, come on, come on, come on

(Together) We will go our way

(Together) We will leave someday

(Together) Your hand in my hand

(Together) We will make our plans

(Together) We will fly so high

(Together) Tell all our friends good-bye

(Together) We will start life new

(Together) This is what we'll do

(Go West) Life is peaceful there

(Go West) In the open air

(Go West) Where the skies are blue

(Go West) This is what we're gonna do

(Go West, this is what we're gonna do, Go West)

(Together) We will love the beach

(Together) We will learn and teach

(Together) Change our pace of life

(Together) We will work and strive

(I love you) I know you love me

(I want you) How could I disagree?

(So that's why) I make no protest

(When you say) You will do the rest

(Go West) Life is peaceful there

(Go West) In the open air

(Go West) Baby you and me

(Go West) This is our destiny

(Go West) Sun in wintertime

(Go West) We will do just fine

(Go West) Where the skies are blue

(Go West, this is what we're gonna do)

There where the air is free

We'll be (We'll be) what we want to be

Now if we make a stand

We'll find (We'll find) our promised land

(I know that) There are many ways

(To live there) In the sun or shade

(Together) We will find a place

(To settle) Where there's so much space

(Without rush) And the pace back East
(The hustling) Rustling just to feed

(I know I'm) Ready to leave too

(So that's what) We are gonna do

(What we're gonna do is)

Go West) Life is peaceful there

(Go West) There in the open air

(Go West) Where the skies are blue

(Go West) This is what we're gonna do

(Life is peaceful there) Go West

(In the open air) Go West

(Baby, you and me) Go West

(This is our destiny)

Come on, come on, come on, come on

(Go West) Sun in wintertime

(Go West) We will feel just fine

(Go West) Where the skies are blue

(Go West) This is what we're gonna do
(Come on, come on, come on, come on)

(Go West)

What a great post ... love the photos and the lyrics! That wedding (?) photo of you two on the waterside bench ... so cool!

So excited for you guys. I've been following your story since the first SD Magazine article. Looking forward to more of your posts as you travel westward. Played the song as I read this post, it was great.

What a lovely post. Makes my heart smile. I love all of your pictures but the one with the light in the cockpit as the sun disappears is just so powerful...

Glad everyone came away okay - boats can be replaced. Love your lifestyle, hope the linkage with your kids goes on.

Love that you both vote for "togetherness" for your family, and made that dream a reality. My brother and his family, log of del viento, have been cruisers w/ their young children for nearly 3 years. I understand and envy you all. As the gentlemen above states, boats can be replaced. I am so sorry you lost your home- but glad everyone is ok. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Lyra. Get back on a boat, and go in due time!:)
With sincerity,

Beautiful and Awesome that you go your own way!!
there is more than one way to live your life.. and just because you don't go to work 5 days a week and pay house notes and car notes and all the rest of the stuff does NOT Make your way of living wrong.. i think it is the best way. and your kids are better off for being with there parents as much as they can as long as they can!!!!
